GELANG PATAH – Over 200 local and international golfers participate in the Pro-Am qualification tournament at Senibong Golf Club, paving the way for next month’s inaugural Johor Golf Expo 2024 (JGE2024).
Fifteen winners from this qualification round will be able to play alongside professional golfers in the final match scheduled for October 19-20. The top professionals will compete for a prize pool of RM40,000.00, while amateurs will vie for RM14,000.00.
The Pro-Am tournament features a unique format where both professional and amateur golfers play together in the same round, typically held in advance of major professional golf events.
This tournament is a highlight of JGE2024, which aims to enhance golf accessibility in Johor and unite stakeholders to promote the state as a premier golf destination.
In addition to the Pro-Am, the expo will showcase other exciting events, including the MGA Junior Open and the Ladies Interclub Pro-Am Series, further enriching the overall experience.
Organized by Champions Golf in collaboration with KPRJ Sports, JGE2024 will also host the Family Fairway Fun Festival on October 13, leading into the three-day main event commencing on October 18.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including Footgolf, the Fairway Fun Zone, food trucks, treasure hunts, and much more.
Moreover, JGE2024 will feature an exhibition and seminars with over 70 exhibitors from local and international markets, showcasing business opportunities and the latest innovations within the golf industry.
